Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Calculus Animated collects when you use this website and the course, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions: info@calculusanimated.com.

What we collect

• Your email address, when you start the free trial or sign in. We use it to send your sign-in link and give you access to the course.
• Course activity, such as which lessons you have marked as watched.
• Purchase status. Payments are handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We never see or store your card number; we only learn that a purchase was made and the email it was made with.
• How you found us, such as the website or social platform you came from, the campaign tags in the link you clicked, and the page you first landed on. We use a small cookie to remember this and to recognize repeat visits.
• Basic technical data that any website receives, such as browser type and device, through our hosting provider.

How we use it

• To give you access to your lessons and remember your progress.
• To send emails about your account and the course. Marketing emails always include a link to unsubscribe.
• To understand which of our videos and posts bring students to the course, so we can make more of what helps.
• To answer questions and process refunds.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

Services we use

We rely on a few providers who process data on our behalf, only to run the course:

• Supabase: account sign-in and our database.
• Vercel: website hosting.
• Vimeo: lesson video playback. The Vimeo player may use its own cookies under Vimeo's privacy policy.
• Stripe: payments.
• Resend: sending email.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in and to remember how you first found us. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, but you will need to sign in again. This site does not currently change its behavior in response to browser "Do Not Track" signals.

Children

The course is designed for high school and college students. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us their information, email info@calculusanimated.com and we will delete it.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any email.
• Email info@calculusanimated.com to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, or to close your account.

How long we keep it

We keep your account information for as long as you have an account. If you ask us to delete it, we delete it unless we need to keep a record of a purchase for tax or legal reasons.

Security

Sign-in uses one-time email links, so there is no password to steal. Access to our database is restricted so that each student can only see their own records. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
